2 million doses of Pfizer vaccine arrived in Thailand this morning.

This is the first batch of 30 million doses purchased by Thailand.

At the end of July, the US government donated 1.5 million doses of Pfizer to Thailand, which were used to vaccinate foreigners living in the country in addition to at-risk groups. Negotiations are under way to deliver another million doses of US donations.

The batch arrived today is intended for the vaccination of schoolchildren from 12 to 18 years old.
