Read More🛢 A report from Rayong, published at 11:40 am (Friday), says that the crude oil slicks are 3.2 km from the coast, but about 90% of the oil turned into a film after exposure to chemicals. According to satellite imagery, the oil slicks cover approximately 47 square kilometers of the sea’s surface, about nine times the size of Koh Samet and about 12 kilometers away. Some of the oil is forecast to reach the Rayong coastline today. Divers have not yet found any traces of oil on coral reefs and algae in the area of Khao Laem Ya National Park and Ban Phe Bay
